In the House [Menel & Heron] Empty In the House [Menel & Heron]

Music was playing in the background, played out for the customers while they ate. Menel listened to it while he waited for his food to be made, sitting idly in his booth watching the other man play the instrument. The swordsman had always had a fascination of a sort with those that could create something from seemingly nothing. The ability to create... It was a beautiful thing. So he didn't really mind waiting for his food. After all, it wasn't very often that he had something so pleasant to listen to while he waited.

Since Menel ordered four of the cheapest menu meal options it took some time for the food to be ready, and when they brought it out for him it looked like a lot of food set out before him. The swordsman was a bit used to it in his way. More often than not the servers and other customers assumed that he was ordering in advance of a larger party. It was an assumption he quickly disabused them of once he actually started eating however.

Menel ate with a voracity that befit his appetite, making the food that was set before him disappear at a rate that bordered on unnatural, but with excellent manners. The swordsman didn't just shovel food into his mouth or anything. The food simply disappeared as if he was sporting a sixth dimension rather than a stomach. He had to admit, the food was pretty good.

In the House [Menel & Heron] Empty Re: In the House [Menel & Heron]

The soulful melody of a saxophone filled the quiet atmosphere of the bar. Emmanuel serenaded the idle customers with his solo, and the only thing that accompanied him was the gentle clanks of silverware and small talk. Cigarette smoke and fresh cooked food filled the air as they laid back and relaxed to the soothing sounds - he'd have to put up with his strong sense of smell having to breathe in the food in the air that's mixed with tobacco, while sitting on an empty stomach as well.
To be a great artist, one must have to starve a little as well, right?

Another thing that started to accompany his piece was the sounds of his own stomach, begging for a form of substance.
He was clearly living up to expectations.

By the time he was done with his little gig, the clock had already struck midnight, and most of his audience had left home or were passed out in drunken stupor.
If he was lucky enough, the owner would pay him just enough to get himself a meal for a week. He hoped, as he patted his growling stomach while he cleaned his tenor. With enough supplies to hit the road, he can finally move over to next city to start with his objectives.

While he continued packing away his instrument, he caught a glimpse of a certain fellow with his bright white hair that stuck out from the rest of the drunkards in the bar. He had an entire table full of food that could have fed at least an entire village in Vida.
He twitched an eye at the sight, and felt his stomach beg even more.

If this guy has enough money to buy all that, then I'm sure he's got enough money to help fellow artists such as himself, right?

After packing away his things from the stage, he casually walked over to the table of paradise, slinging his tenor sax along. Putting on what ever kind of smile he can muster for the evening, and took a seat.

"You got time to help a starving artist, mate?"

By the time he got his food the music was rounding down. Either the musician was done for the day or taking a break. From the fact that the man was cleaning his instrument Menel suspected the former over the later, but there was always a chance that he was simply fastidious. The swordsman returned his attention to his food however, only pausing at the sound of footsteps approaching his table.

Blue eyes lifted and showed just a little bit of surprise that the musician was headed his way. The satyr paused at his table and Menel offered the other man a smile that paused his eating of the food before him. The musician took a seat, a slightly strained smile on his lips as if in response to Menel's.

"You got time to help a starving artist, mate?"

Menel tilted his head a little, his eyes flickering around for any sign of trouble where there wasn't any. There were a few men who had gotten deep into their cups, but none of them seemed to be spoiling for a fight which made it down-right quite as far as the swordsman was concerned. He returned his attention to the musician. "What can I for you?" He grinned and motioned to the food at the table around him. He had intended to eat it all, but there was enough to share - and if not he had seen an option for bottomless fries on the hamburger he'd ordered. They wouldn't get to grumpy if he ordered three or so refills.

"Eat, drink, and tell me about it!"
